Art favorites: Satan

The photo of the sculpture does not do it justice. The metal is darker, richer in person.

Why a favorite? The details drew me in…bony protrusions from his head down his spine…the wings with hooks sheltering him…the toenails sharp like claws. Satan sits in a pensive repose, reminiscent of Rodin’s The Thinker.
