Art favorites: Glow of Gold, Gleam of Pearl

Paxton’s painting is an arresting full-length work. The glow and shimmer of the background draws the viewer in, hinting at shadows and warm, diffuse light. Currently Glow of Gold, Gleam of Pearl is on display in a rotunda like room, surrounded by other works of the same time period.
